Job Title: Senior Network Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Analyst to join our team at S.i. Systèmes. As a key member of our Infrastructure Security Operations team, you will be responsible for conducting network security impact analysis and analyzing IT security threats and alerts.

About the Role

The Government of Canada is undergoing a digital transformation, and we are looking for a Senior Network Security Analyst to help us improve our IT infrastructure and user experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing identified network and/or telecom problems, identifying resolution strategies, and implementing them in a timely fashion.
  • Analyzing IT Security tools and techniques.
  • Analyzing security data and providing advisories and reports.
  • Assisting in training users to use the network and related software.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and/or applying various security protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing IT Security protocols.
  • Developing proof-of-concept models and trials for IT Security.
  • Developing, implementing, participating, and testing a network disaster recovery plan.
  • Evaluating, testing, and recommending new data communication hardware and software.
  • Identifying and analyzing technical threats to, and vulnerabilities of, networks.
  • Informing new users of the appropriate hardware and software specifications for access to the network.
  • Installing or coordinating installation of network hardware, software for use with personal computers and mainframe/personal computer interaction, and network upgrades according to vendor instructions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs of users, equipment serial numbers, service records, maintenance agreements, warranties, wiring schemes, and network problems and solutions.
  • Maintaining interface with vendor representatives and other computing resources to resolve hardware and software problems.
