The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and developing advanced avionics hardware for next‑generation aircraft. This individual will lead circuit design, PCB layout, and system integration efforts, collaborating closely with software and systems teams to ensure seamless performance. Cross‑functional collaboration and continuous improvement are key, with regular engagement across manufacturing, certification, and customer‑facing teams to drive innovation and ensure compliance with aerospace standards. This role is 5x week onsite in Ottawa, ON. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of avionics hardware, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing. Architect analog and digital circuits for embedded systems and communication interfaces. Collaborate with software and firmware teams for system integration and validation. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Support certification processes and documentation aligned with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-254, DO-160). Investigate and resolve complex field issues and product failures.
