This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in operational forestry, such as silviculture, forest development, timber cruising and harvesting.

Geoterra is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an open vacancy for the position of Forestry Supervisor.

*Accountabilities* * Leading timber cruising and timber investigations; * Leading cutblock, road layout and assessments * Leading riparian and ecosystem assessments; * Leading data collection and entry; * Additional adhoc assistance requirements needed by the supervisor;

*Qualifications* * Post-secondary education in a natural resource field. * Registered or able to register with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (RPF, RFT). * Positive attitude, highly organized, with a proven ability to provide supervision and mentor junior staff members. * Minimum of 3 years experience in the forest industry. * Specific experience with forest development activities such as block layout (ground based and cable), timber cruising, ecological data collection and riparian classification. * Valid BC driver’s license. * Working knowledge of the BC tenure and appraisal system. * Provide a Negative 12 Panel Drug & Alcohol test upon hire. * Provide a Drivers Abstract with no major infractions upon hire.
