We are currently requesting resumes for the following position: Technical Engineer/OfficerResume Due Date: Thursday, February 13, 2025 (5:00PM EST)Job ID: RFP 25-023Number of Vacancies: 6Level: MP3Duration: 36 MonthsHours of work: 35Location: 1675 Montgomery Park Rd., PickeringWork Mode: 100% OnsiteJob OverviewPrepare Design Change Packages such as Modifications, Temporary Modifications and Non-Identical Component Replacements for mechanical, electrical/instrumentation/control design modifications.Provide technical and process support to field work under Projects, Work Order Holds and Project Control Center (PCC) actions.Prepare design, calculations, design bills of material and address design related field issues. Provide advice and/or direction to Design Leads, review designs and sign Field Initiated Changes. Perform field inspections, acceptance and approvals.Maintain written documented processes and procedures to reflect improved operating methods and additions to all supported systems.Provide Engineering Change Control guidance, support field issues and Field Initiated Changes, and facilitate positive outcomes with EPC vendors.Understand impacts on cost and schedule, and provide support to minimize impacts driving projects.This position will involve design support for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, real-time process control, computer technical documents such as specifications, requirements, drawings, commissioning procedures and reports, software qualifications, software categorization, design plans, and testing procedures.Address cyber security and vulnerability risk analysis.Design experience and familiarity with engineering change control process.Experience in design engineering (mechanical/electrical/instrumentation/controls/software/fire/security and power systems) is an asset.P.Eng. designation is preferred but not required.QualificationsEDUCATIONDegree in mechanical/electrical/electronics/mechatronics/computer or software engineering.Requires knowledge of electrical, electronics, computer science, statistical analysis and economics to provide consultative services in designated, specialized technical fields associated with the development, design, construction, commissioning and operation of power plants.Requires knowledge of English to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, and proficiency in technical report writing to develop, prepare and implement standards, methods, procedures, and comprehensive reports.Our client is dedicated to promoting employment equity and encourages applications from equity-seeking communities including but not limited to: Indigenous Peoples, racialized individuals, persons with disabilities, and women.
