The role is remote and can be based anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities Collaborate with project stakeholders and the data team to design and build scalable, user‑friendly systems. Build and test data models using SQL and dbt. Expose high‑quality, documented data sets to end users through our BI tool. Debug data quality issues as they arise. Support Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Developers with ad‑hoc analyses. Follow proper data architecture and development paradigms. Discuss strategy and outline trade‑offs of potential software solutions. Perform data analysis to support external teams. Participate in Scrum ceremonies. Requirements University degree or college diploma in a technical, vocational or academic program (preferably Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent work experience. 4+ years of experience with SQL. 2+ years of experience with dbt (“data build tool”). Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Experience with a BI Tool and creating data visualizations (Looker). Experience turning data into actionable insights. Experience building analytical data models. Ability to communicate efficiently with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Nice to Have Experience working as part of a data team. Background in Statistics. Experience assisting data consumers. Experience working in an Agile environment. Experience with Python. Experience with prompt engineering. Prior Insurance domain knowledge. Passion for clean, reusable, well‑structured code. Comfortable with ambiguity in requests. Benefits & Perks Remote‑first setup for added flexibility.
