Position Details: Casual - Create & control your own schedule

Compensation: Starting at $41.42 per hour

Responsibilities: Performs assessments. Plan, implement, evaluate, and provide personal and nursing care to residents, including medication administration. Assess and monitor residents actual and potential strengths and limitations including physiological, psychological, socio-cultural, and spiritual.

Based on the assessments, contribute to the development and ongoing changes to the individualized plan of care, including attending and providing input to the multidisciplinary care team and family. Administer oral, transdermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous medications including PRN medication in accordance with organizational and pharmaceutical policies and procedures. Provide work direction by assigning and/or delegating tasks to staff, demonstrate work routines, and oversees the orientation of new staff. Provide regular nutrition via gastric tube for designated residents. Perform nursing procedures and interventions and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the procedures and interventions.

Maintain a safe environment for resident, significant others, and staff by adhering to established health and safety policies, standards and procedures including emergency procedures and infection control guidelines. Reports unsafe conditions and malfunctioning equipment and assists in accident investigation when applicable. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Care Manager.

Qualifications: Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals. Graduate of recognized school of nursing. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing Cultural education and experience are preferred. Certificate of Geriatric Nursing or previous experience _(preferred)_ 1 year RN experience in Canada _(preferred)_ The successful applicant for this job posting must provide satisfactory proof, or have such proof on file, that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination and any required COVID-19 booster vaccination. This requirement shall be waived if the applicant has not received the vaccination due to any legislated protected human rights grounds. In such a case, and upon presentation of sufficient proof, CareCorp shall make reasonable attempts to accommodate the applicant to carry out their role where possible recognizing that the health and safety of other employees and residents will be a priority. Pay: From $41.42 per hour
