This role will be 100% remote in Canada.The Role:We are hiring an Azure Data Engineer, to be a key member of our organization who works within Inviso project teams to help our clients derive meaningful business insights from large, complex datasets.Our clients are looking for our expertise to help them build modern data and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure. We work closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure, data estate, business objectives, and how modern Azure solutions can help them achieve those objectives. We support customers around the world, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, Commercial and Public Sector, and across industries. Azure Consulting Services represents a fast-growing line of services for Inviso, and we are looking for individuals who have deep experience with Azure Data Services to assist our clients.This role will be 100% remote, but requires working during US Time zone work hours. Candidates for consideration must speak and conduct work in the English language.Key Activities for this RoleDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, and Fabric data services.Set up, design and build CI/CD pipelines using DevOps or GitHub.Configure and optimize data science services in Fabric and Azure Databricks.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data services.Unit test, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and services.Demo completed work with the client team.Follow team best practices and patterns.Collaborate and coordinate with the onshore team.Key QualitiesStrong knowledge of Azure, Databricks, and Fabric data services.Experience with CI/CD deployment automation using DevOps or GitHub.Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and other data integration tools.Strong communication and collaboration skills for internal and external clientsStrong work ethic and detail-orientedCritical & creative thinkingSelf-motivated and able to work effectively with limited oversightGoal-oriented team player committed to qualityStrong organization and time management skillsFocused and committed to delivering on assignments and meeting deadlinesExperience & Skills Required:3-5 years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying Microsoft data solutions.PySpark, SQL, Python, ETL are must-have skills for this roleFamiliarity with CI/CD deployment automation using Azure DevOps and Git.Proficiency in PySpark and data science methodologies.Strong knowledge of Azure and Fabric data platform services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure storage services, and Azure Data Lake Storage.Experience with T/SQL programming, including designing and creating SQL Server stored procedures and views.Strong verbal and written English skills.Knowledge of unit testing methods and techniques.Knowledge of Data Vault data modeling methodology would be good to have.Desired QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related fieldKnowledge of machine learning and AI frameworks.About InvisoInviso is a premier consulting firm that delivers business solutions through Software Asset Management (SAM), Office 365 and Azure (Cloud), Modern App Dev and Business Intelligence, Staffing, and Marketing.
