CADDescriptionD365 F&O Data Migration LeadOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Data Migration Specialist /Lead to oversee the migration of multi-million record datasets across multiple legal entities from a custom-built ERP system to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (Finance / SCM).This role will play a critical part in defining and executing the migration strategy, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor data migration developers and analysts.Coordinate activities with project managers, solution architects, and technical leads.Define migration scope, methodology, tools, and overall timeline.Develop cutover and rollback strategies to ensure smooth transitions.Collaborate with functional teams to define source-to-target data mappings.Demonstrate deep understanding of D365 data models (e.g., Customers, Vendors, Products, GL, etc.).Design staging and transformation models to support complex data flows.Extract data from legacy ERP systems.Cleanse and transform data to align with D365 F&O requirements.Utilize Microsoft-native tools including:Data Management Framework (DMF) for D365 F&OAzure Data Factory (ADF)Manage bulk data uploads and recurring integration interfaces.Ensure data accuracy and integrity within D365.Collaborate with business users for validation, reconciliation, and sign-off.Maintain detailed logs, mappings, transformation rules, and issue tracking.Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security policies.Must-Have QualificationsProven experience migrating data from AX 2009/2012 to D365 F&O.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O data models.Expertise in AX 2012 / D365 F&O data integration (e.g., AP, AR, EDI).Proficiency in D365 F&O data management - import, export, and transformation.Strong SQL skills, including development of migration procedures and scripts.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience working in B2B or B2C domains.Advanced T-SQL skills: stored procedures, functions, and performance optimization.Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or coded transformation extensions.Familiarity with complex source-to-target mapping for large datasets.Industry Experience DesiredOil and Gas ExperienceRetail Experience
