As a Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator in our Clairmont facility, you will be responsible for receiving and shipping various commodities into and out of our warehouse for Energy and Industrial customers. Additionally, you will also receive chemicals, including dangerous goods from railcars and will transfer bulk chemicals to customers by loading bulk trucks. You will learn about Health, Safety and Environment and Responsible Distribution. You will be awaited by dynamic colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge with you. Some of the responsibilities of the Warehouse / Bulk Plant Operator include:

  1. Heating Plant boiler operation and maintenance as required
  2. Bulk liquid railcar unloading, including dangerous goods
  3. Loading bulk liquid chemicals into bulk trucks
  4. Receiving, storage, shipping of items as defined by our policies, procedures and processes
  5. Input orders and arrange freight for customers, when required
  6. Assist with safety programs in warehouse (TDG, WHMIS, ISO, Responsible Distribution, etc.)
  7. Assist with general upkeep of building and warehouse equipment including lift-trucks, scales, etc.
  8. Participation in related training as required
  9. Operate forklift truck with proper certification
  10. Processing paperwork (i.e. warehouse release, bill of lading, certificates of analysis and cover sheet)
  11. Review daily shipment edit list to ensure orders are being handled to meet customer needs and expectations
  12. Physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate inventory (quantity/lots/locations)
  13. Printing warehouse release requests, bill of ladings, certificates of analysis
  14. Regular communication with Logistics, Customer Service and Procurement functions to ensure we are meeting customer and operational requirements

What are the requirements and skills needed for this role?
  1. 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate
  2. Experience in bulk liquid transloading is an asset
  3. Ability to work a rotating shift schedule with on-call time
  4. Completed high-school diploma or completed equivalencies
  5. Good general physical condition; ability to lift and work outside
  6. Team spirit, motivation and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and solve different issues
  8. You MUST be able to wear full face respirator PPE (fit test will be provided)
  9. Experience with WHMIS / TDG (would be an asset)
  10. Forklift cards and experience operating a forklift (would be an asset)
