Put your future in motion Responsibilities Develops, implements and manages the financial planning function, as it pertains to revenue, annual budget, long range financial plans, and other financial analysis. Includes revenue analysis, forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, program/operations evaluation, contract assessment, risk assessment, trend analysis, and related reporting. Coordinates consolidation of financial planning information for TransLink and its subsidiaries, including the annual budget process. Develops operating plans for all areas of accountability, and supports the Director by providing area-specific input to development of financial strategies. Develops, implements and manages the financial planning function for TransLink, including revenue analysis/budgeting/forecasting of all major revenue streams, forecasting, modeling, variance analysis, program/operations evaluation, contract assessment, risk assessment, trends analysis, and related reporting and recommendations. Develops, recommends and implements approved policies and processes for reporting areas; implements and monitors controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and standards. Provides financial analysis expertise and advice to internal user departments and subsidiaries; collaborates with finance staff in subsidiaries to facilitate integration of financial planning information. Supports the Director in developing presentations, reports and other financial planning information for executives and Audit Committee of the Board; assists in identifying emerging issues and risks, and developing resolutions for complex financial issues. Supports change management by leading and/or participating in development and implementation of initiatives in reporting areas. Liaises with external stakeholders and partners, including service contract providers, municipalities, provincial government agencies. Manages reporting staff, including selection, development, coaching, managing performance, and other people management practices. Qualifications Education and Experience: The requirements for this job are typically acquired through a degree in finance, plus achievement of an accounting designation, and eight years of experience in progressively responsible accounting roles. Other Requirements: Advanced knowledge of GAAP and relevant acts and regulations; advanced knowledge of financial planning, analysis and reporting concepts, principles, and techniques; advanced knowledge of corporate financial statement presentation for use in financial model forecasts; advanced communication and interpersonal skills to provide financial expertise and liaise with external stakeholders; advanced writing skills for reporting development; advanced analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; solid leadership skills including people management practices. Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. Work Designation: Hybrid (on-site and remote within B.C.). Rate of Pay: Salary range $107,200 – $160,800 per annum; actual offer based on education, experience, skills and qualifications. Total compensation includes extended health, dental, transit pass and participation in the Public Service Pension Plan, among other offerings.
