Vice President of Sales and Marketing – ZTR ZTR is a leading global railway technology company that modernizes and digitally connects railway rolling stock to help our clients create transformational environmental and operational efficiencies. As the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships and expanding ZTR's reach globally and within North America toward our targeted markets, leading the global product market. As a leader, you will provide inspiring and charismatic leadership for your teams, cross‑collaborating with others to reach our company mission and objectives. Responsibilities Leadership Develop the marketing DNA of ZTR by creating market vision and strategies, and implementing them. Foster relationships with key customers in a global space. Implement, execute, and maintain sales processes designed to achieve and accelerate growth. Oversee sales plans, marketing, profit and loss estimations, and budgets based on market demand and corporate goals. Own and revise an effective sales management process. Prepare and implement an effective organizational structure to drive execution of initiatives. Display leadership posture and decision‑making skills to lead the Commercial team with confidence. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the Commercial team. Maintain a symbiotic and synergistic relationship with all other departments within ZTR. Present sales achievements, forecasts, pipelines, and updates to the President & executive team. Oversee the objectives and implementation of all commercial strategies. Identify new business opportunities for further growth. Create analyses of activity to develop effective business plans and realistic, meaningful KPIs. Participate in strategic planning and collaborate with other departments. Present the strategic positioning of the ZTR portfolio to customers, partners, and market influencers. Business Development Study industry trends and create an effective business plan based on commercial opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Become ZTR's subject‑matter expert on services, products, and how clients and customers use them. Collaborate with Product Marketing to create effective marketing collateral and translate solutions for the market. Participate and lead in global expansion activities such as C‑level customer meetings, industry trade shows, and other marketing endeavors and campaigns. Who you are 10+ years of experience as a senior sales professional. 10+ years in a sales managerial role, preferably selling to the freight railway industry (experience is an asset). Experience in SaaS and services is an asset. Technically savvy with previous experience in railway, industrial engineered solutions, or hard products (e.g., control systems solutions). Proven ability to generate sales leads and leverage existing relationships. Experienced in managing agents or manufacturing representatives. Demonstrated charismatic leadership and coaching ability, collaborative spirit. Established strategic sales planning and execution experience for commercial teams. Data‑driven with strong analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail. Skilled in delivering technical sales presentations to all levels of stakeholders.
