Your strength lies in analyzing and underwriting CMHC-insured, conventional, and commercial real estate loans. ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and recommend conventional and CMHC mortgage loans in the Region in accordance with procedures and policy guidelinesCoordinate with Account Manager and regional VP on new loan applications for all types of real estate transactions from inquiry stage to formal commitmentEngage directly with clients and brokers throughout the loan application process, ensuring high-quality underwriting standards and cultivating strong, professional relationshipsReview appraisals, environmental and building condition reports and any other third-party reports in accordance with policyReview and verify all required documentation from CMHC and the internal credit approval team to ensure completeness and complianceEnsure timely and accurate execution of rate locks and delivery of all related documentation to clients and brokersCreate and monitor monthly results reports, including inputting data through CRMQuantify the impact of loans by focusing on improving key metrics, KPIs, and maximizing ROI QualificationsOver 3 years of experience in the commercial real estate finance industry with a strong understanding of Canadian commercial real estate marketsStrong financial background and acumenComprehensive understanding of CMHC policies, corporate lending guidelines, and regional market dynamicsProficient in analyzing financial statements to support informed decision-makingStrong interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilitiesSkilled at prioritizing tasks effectively to meet business objectivesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including data analysis, visualization, and automationComfortable working both independently and collaboratively within teamsWell-versed in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirementsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsThrives under pressure, consistently delivering results within tight deadlinesCF A, CPA, MFin, or equivalent qualifications are preferred About UsPeoples Group is a boutique financial institution with offices located in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal that has been in the Canadian marketplace for over 35 years.
