Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods following established recipes and techniques. Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine pastry and dessert menus. Contribute innovative ideas, new flavor combinations, and seasonal offerings to enhance the overall dining experience.
Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately, ensuring the proper balance of flavors and textures. Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings according to established recipes and guidelines.
Decorate and garnish pastries and desserts creatively to achieve visually appealing presentations. Utilize piping techniques, glazes, sauces, and other decorative elements to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the final products.
Maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of pastry production, including taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
Manage and prioritize pastry production based on anticipated demand and orders. Ensure efficient utilization of time and resources to meet customer expectations and minimize waste.
Stay updated with current pastry and baking trends, techniques, and flavor profiles.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a pastry cook / baker
Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry making process
Strong artistic and creative skills to design and decorate pastries and desserts with precision and flair
Experience in developing and expanding pastry menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients, and adapting to customer preferences.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and withstanding high temperatures.
Ability to work for 1-7 days a week, including weekends and holidays
Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour
