Our client is a publicly traded, national manufacturing company known as a pillar in the Alberta community. With a mission of tripling its size in the long term, they are seeking an entrepreneurial and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team located in Calgary, AB.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring sustainable growth in alignment with our corporate objective. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will provide leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, forecasts and budgets aligned with the goals and vision of the company.

The CFO will be an exceptional relationship builder who is motivated to progress the business. This leader will drive the annual budgeting process and long-range financial planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics. As a competitive and inspirational leader, the CFO will bring ideas forward in a team-based approach to secure prospects and bring business and partnership possibilities to fruition.

The successful candidate will possess an accounting designation (CPA), with an undergraduate or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field. The candidate must have experience working in a publicly traded company. To be successful in this role, the candidate will have 10+ years of experience in financial management, coupled with in-depth expertise in investor relations, governance and internal controls.
