We are located at 63303 rr 24 Cold Lake, Alberta Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Concrete Finisher at Superior Concrete Pumping located in Cold Lake, AB. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks involved in the finishing of concrete, including power tool operation, formwork, flatwork, carpentry, and equipment operation. QualificationsProficiency in using power tools, such as grinders, saws, and drillsExperience in formwork, including setting up and dismantling formwork, pouring and leveling concrete, and managing formwork materialsFamiliarity with flatwork, including finishing and smoothing concrete surfaces to desired specificationsCarpentry skills, including measuring and cutting lumber, assembling formwork, and framing structuresExperience in operating heavy equipment, such as skid-steers, bulldozers, and excavators, and the ability to manage and maintain the equipmentExcellent physical condition and stamina to work for extended periods in all weather conditionsA valid driver's license and reliable transportationRelevant certifications in concrete finishing and/or related trades, such as carpentry or heavy equipment operation, are highly desirableHigh school diploma or equivalent education is required, and vocational or technical training in concrete finishing is preferredBe able to communicate in English and willing to learn English to help communicate on job sites TasksCheck form work, base material, and steel reinforcementPlacement of concrete into form workfinishing of concrete by hand or with power trowels as required for specific finishesLevel concrete with proficiency and accuracy to me flatness requirementsInstruct apprentices and provide mentorshipinstall anchor bolts into form workapply sealers and hardeners onto concrete surfacesmaintain safety standardsrepair concrete with a variety of methods ie: sack rub, grinding, bush hammer Position Offer$23.00 - $35.00 depending on level of experienceBenefitsTrainingFull time workPositions Starting April 1st.
