As the ideal candidate, you are excited by the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and provide effective leadership to your project team. The Senior Environmental Scientist will provide project management functions for a select few large Client accounts, participate in business and staff development, including training, coordination, and quality control for junior and intermediate staff in the Hazardous Materials Group.

What you will be doing at Pinchin:

  1. Prepare proposals for hazardous materials investigations and remediation/abatement work
  2. Oversee/perform hazardous materials consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and remediation/abatement work
  3. Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects
  4. Responsible for business development with existing clients
  5. Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
  6. Supervising, training, and mentoring Project Technologists in their job function

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

  1. Post-secondary education in any of the following: construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, indoor air quality
  2. 5 – 7 years’ experience providing hazardous materials consulting and project management for a large national client
  3. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Technologist performing hazardous materials assessments, abatement inspection and air monitoring, preparing asbestos management plans, proposals for consulting services, and contract documents
  4. Excellent technical report writing skills - ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications
  5. Proficient with MS Office Suite
  6. High attention to detail
  7. Professional verbal communication skills
  8. Excellent time management skills
  9. Availability to work outside of core business hours
  10. Valid driver’s license, insurance, and car are required (work-related travel will be compensated)
