Global Reach, Local Return

The Ottawa International Airport Authority (OIAA) was established in 1997 under the strategic oversight of a community-based Board of Directors, which is representative of its multi-stakeholder environment. The OIAA is part of a 26-airport National Airports System and is one of 8 Tier 1 airports in Canada. Building on teamwork and sustainability, OIAA safely connects people, moves goods, and creates economic prosperity for the National Capital Region. OIAA is currently the 6th largest airport in Canada, based on annual passenger numbers, with revenues over $146 million and is well positioned for continued success and growth. With a long-term Airport Master Plan, the Authority has set goals for future development to meet the demands of its community, travellers, and business partners. Based in the nation’s capital, the OIAA operates in a dynamic and high visibility environment which offers a unique opportunity for senior aviation, public sector, and regulated industry leaders, as it is now looking to identify a new President and Chief Executive Officer.

The ability to relate constructively with the OIAA’s stakeholders to engage support, partnerships, and ensure successful outcomes will be keys to success. Knowledge of the aviation industry will be an asset, and candidates who do not have this background should be prepared to learn about the complexities of the industry quickly, prior to the start of their mandate.
