Senior QA Automation Tester to develop and maintain automated scripts using Playwright and Selenium in the public sector.

Our public sector client requires an Reliability Cleared Senior QA Automation Tester to work closely with the application development team and conduct accessibility and automation testing on an information management system. The resource will use Playwright and Selenium to automate test scripts.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team in identifying, classifying, and tracking defects. Ensure that the defect management process is followed, and defects are properly documented, triaged, and resolved. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve critical defects.
  • Create detailed cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. It should cover various scenarios and edge cases to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Execute manually or using automated tools. Perform functional, regression, performance, security, and usability/accessibility testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts as applicable. Automate repetitive items to improve efficiency and scalability of efforts.
  • Identify and create appropriate data to simulate real-world scenarios. Manage data sets and ensure data integrity and privacy.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to ensure their professional development in this specialty.
  • Capture, classify, and prioritize defects in a defect tracking system (e.g., AzureDevOps). Work closely with development teams to investigate and reproduce issues, provide detailed defect reports, and verify fixes.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define objectives, priorities, and timelines. Ensure that the effort is well planned and aligned with product milestones.
  • Monitor and oversee the execution activities to ensure that cases are executed accurately and efficiently. Review test results and provide feedback to the scrum team. Address any issues or roadblocks that arise during testing.
  • Ensure that the processes and methodologies are followed consistently and adhere to industry standards. Conduct quality reviews of test deliverables to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
