Senior Engagement Advisor - Halifax, NS

The proposed resource must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to engage all stakeholders and act with minimal direction. The proponent will be asked to assist with:

• Development of a strategic engagement plan including a high-level timeline roadmap to support the progression of projects.
• Engagement with key stakeholders at all levels of government (federal, provincial, municipal), essential private sector companies, commercial users, and other relevant stakeholders to identify and validate roles and responsibilities.
• Advise on community engagement approaches and activities, supporting material collateral and logistics to build public support for major transportation initiatives.
• Coordination and facilitation of meetings/working sessions with key stakeholders and partners to identify and progress activities, conduct relevant background and preparation work, review required legislation and agreements with key stakeholders.
• Identification and tracking of engagement challenges, risks and issues.
• Provide strategic guidance, expert advice and support for the HHB Senior Management Team and the Board of Commissioners.

Proposed Resource and Experience:
• Demonstration of Senior Strategic Engagement Advisor experience, within the last 10 years, preferably in the transportation and infrastructure industry sectors.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior engagement advisor.
