Job Title: Information Management SpecialistWork ArrangementOnsiteHours: 7.25 hours/day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, excluding lunch)Monday to FridayRole SummaryThe Information Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the 911 road network GIS environment, supporting GIS applications and databases, performing complex spatial data analysis, and leading GIS-related initiatives to support operational performance and NG 911 readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the 911 road network by collecting, synthesizing, compiling, and distributing GIS data from multiple sources into a centralized standardized repositoryProvide application support and troubleshooting for GIS data maintenance, refresh, and transformationResolve issues related to GIS applications and databases, including developing and running SQL queriesDevelop enhancements to GIS software, databases, tools, and processes, including:AutomationData quality assuranceSoftware and database upgradesDatabase performance improvementsConduct complex analysis of GIS data and create visual representations, reports, and dashboardsLead and support GIS initiatives such as:Infrastructure lifecycle managementArcGIS upgradesData standardizationNG 911 readinessSupport testing, integration, and deployment of GIS-related changesCapture business requirements and update business rules as requiredRequired Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills (50%)Strong knowledge of GIS principles, practices, spatial standards, and proceduresExtensive hands-on experience with ArcGIS and GIS-related databases and standardsKnowledge of enterprise GIS applications, spatial database software, DBMS, and Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of internal and external data sources and data exchange standardsExperience reviewing, understanding, and developing code and database queries (e.g., SQL, Access, Xbase, Dbase)Experience enhancing existing GIS features and developing new features based on approved requirementsAbility to create custom GIS maps, reports, dashboards, and visualizationsExperience conducting testing, integration, and deployment activitiesAbility to provide accurate work estimates to support project planningProject Management, Leadership & Organizational Skills (40%)Proven planning and organizational skills to lead and manage GIS initiativesDemonstrated leadership and technical guidance capabilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issuesExperience preparing documentation, reports, training materials, and correspondenceExperience delivering formal and informal training sessions to end usersStrong consultation and facilitation skills to assess client needs and promote GIS standardsStrong relationship management skills to manage expectations and support changeExperience working on multiple concurrent projectsExperience supporting multi-year initiativesCommunication Skills (10%)Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and negotiation skillsProven team player with a track record of meeting deadlinesMust HaveSound knowledge of GIS principles, practices, spatial standards, and proceduresExtensive hands-on experience with ArcGIS and GIS-related databases and standardsKnowledge of internal and external data sources and data exchange standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
