Leopold’s Tavern is expanding We need a ROCK STAR General Manager to help with our growth and take us to the next level.

We are hiring for the position of General Manager for our NEW Okotoks location

At Leo’s, our classic dive bar culture is all about customer service, quality, and fun. We like to have a good time, but our customers always come first. We strive to have the best customer service in the business Our new General Manager will be a professional team leader but isn’t afraid to have a good time.

We are looking for someone to be responsible for overseeing all daily operations including driving sales, customer service, profitability, and supervision and guidance of the growth and development of our entire management team and staff.

  1. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Leopold’s Tavern under the direction of the Regional Manager. This includes managing operations in all areas of the business, attending to the needs of our customers, as well as the staffing and ongoing training, supervision and development of employees.
  2. You’ll determine stock needs, interact with vendors and customers, monitor sales, inventory management, and all our cash control systems.
  3. You’ll maintain and analyze business records to improve efficiency and increase sales.
  4. You’ll be responsible for managing, recruiting and overseeing training. And if it doesn’t work out, you’ll be responsible for terminating employees.
  5. You’ll maintain and monitor employees’ shift schedules and job performance.
  6. You’ll supervise and communicate promotions, and train and educate staff on all promotions.
  7. You’ll be placing orders with our suppliers.
  8. You’ll resolve customer complaints and rectify issues to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  9. You’ll assist in the planning of promotions and local marketing initiatives alongside the Regional Manager and Marketing Director.
  10. You’ll be in charge of managing and completing bi-weekly payroll info, including time cards, payroll changes, new hires, and/or terminations.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of three years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  2. Minimum of two years of managerial or supervisory experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  3. Demonstrated use of standard concepts and practices in purchasing, inventory, and supervision of at least 15 employees.
  4. Able to take feedback positively and not personally to grow as a leader.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Valid Drivers Licence.
  7. Practice and execute equal, inclusive, and diverse leadership.
  8. Good with people.
  9. Excellent at problem-solving and can think independently.
  10. Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  11. General knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office and proficient with email.
  12. Effective communication skills.
  13. Natural appetite to help others succeed.
  14. Ability to share knowledge and skills with your team.
  15. Exhibit positive floor leadership.
  16. Fill in for your team and step up if they cannot make it work or cannot find proper coverage.
  17. Organizational and Time Management skills.
