Reporting to the Plant Engineering and Product Development Manager, the person sought will have to work in close collaboration with the Automation & Robotics, Innovation, and Maintenance departments. The person sought will have as main responsibility the acquisition and enhancement of data from our computer systems.

Wanted profile
  • Holder of a bachelor's degree in computer science or in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of project management.
  • Bilingual both orally and in writing (English / French)
  • Autonomous and responsible.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • Knowledge of C# / C / Visual Basic programming.
  • Knowledge of how artificial intelligence systems work.
  • Have knowledge of SQL databases and how they work.
  • Available to travel.

Assets

  • Knowledge of the plastics industry, processes and equipment.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
  • Have good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Have good knowledge of electronics.
Responsibilities
  • Improve and support various PLC (Beckhoff, Omron) and computer systems (HMI Indusoft, Scada Indusoft);
  • Create and maintain various connectors (API) between systems;
  • Enhance machine information to facilitate factual decision-making through PLC and SQL database;
  • Program and support various camera inspection systems (Matrox / Keyence / Cognex);
  • Configure, program and troubleshoot robots (Fanuc / Sepro / Wittmann);
  • Establish timelines and track project execution activities;
  • Participate in the integration of an MES system;
  • Support teams working on special innovative projects;
  • Perform technology watch on emerging technologies.
