Who are we looking for?

Our client is seeking an Interest Rate and FX Hedging Specialist to join the Credit and Market Division of the Financial Risk Management Department.

The Interest Rate and FX Hedging Specialist is responsible for analysis, monitoring, and hedging of these market risks within the group. Additionally, experience with commodity risk hedging will be preferred.

The successful candidate will assess market risk exposures, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on positions and risks of the respective portfolios, and report the findings to risk management and to key areas of the Company.

The specialist will interface with various internal departments, including compliance, finance, operations, and the trading desk, and also with other subsidiaries and joint ventures of the group.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced business degree is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or PRM.
  • +10 years of experience infinancial markets risk management in a corporate or bank environment.
  • Experience with the development, implementation, application, and oversight of financial markets risk models, hedging alternatives, pricing and hedge execution strategies.
  • Experience and knowledge of trading concepts, derivative instruments, ISDA agreements, hedge accounting, and operations.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to coach junior analysts in developing their analytical skills and reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and quantify interest rate, FX and commodity risk exposure of the group and propose hedging strategies to mitigate such risks.
  • Understand and report on market risk dynamics of the specific portfolio, key drivers impacting prices, volatility and values and their prospective impact on the risks and earnings of the portfolio.
  • Ensure that volatilities, market prices, forward curves, correlations, and other key valuation components are accurately and consistently defined and updated.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration and implementation of hedging of market risks and related risk analytic systems.
  • Ensure that new business transactions and related risks are appropriately defined and captured by the Company’s risk systems and risk methodologies.
  • Analyze risks/return related to new business and markets and liaise with the business functions to assure constituent market risks are understood, are appropriate to risk appetite, correctly reported and where appropriate, hedged.
  • Monitor positions against market risk metrics and limits and liaise with the business functions and risk control regarding potential limit exceedance.
  • Perform stress testing on various portfolios in order to identify and mitigate unwanted exposure.
  • Review policies and procedures and align risk policies across the Group.
Job Benefits
  • Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar skills

2. Interviews Stage:

2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.

If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful, your resume will be submitted to our client.

If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful, our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you.

2.2 Client Face to Face interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.

If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team will get back to you and schedule a face-to-face meeting in a defined location. You will be told to go to the location.

The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions.

If your face-to-face interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, decide, and then receive a conditional job offer.

If your face-to-face interview is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you.

2.3 There could be additional video interviews with hiring managers, which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field.

3. Conditional Offer:

A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment. Conditions for employment include but are not limited to medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.

4. Relocation Process:
