Overview

Reporting into the Key Account Manager, the Regional Sales Manager role is a pivotal client facing role that requires a balance of Sales Rep management in order to deliver the financial objectives for the Quebec Independent convenience channel. The expectation of this role is to be on the road with Sales Representatives within the region at least 50% of the time.


Key Responsibilities

The number one priority for the Regional Sales Manager will be to coach and mentor all the Sales Reps together with building best practices in order to maximize the company’s sales revenue. Our approach to the independent stores needs to be “Best in Class”.


The Regional Sales Manager will:

  • Establish Best Practice Initiatives for all Sales Reps.
  • Manage and support inventory requirements for all Reps
  • Support any routing related challenges and offer solutions
  • Management of all new rep hiring. Training and onboarding
  • Ensure all reps deliver and build strong relationships with store owners, dealers and associates.
  • Offer solutions to potential tension points.
  • Ensure that rep coverage is at 100% of all stores
  • Attend regional client meetings and trade shows as directed by the Key Account Manager
  • Ensure all KPI’s are met for Reps.
  • Relationship Management with all Sales Reps
  • Build weekly Rep meetings, ensure all reps are equipped with the information required in order to build success
  • Support and assist all reps to up-sell customers, build narrative around placement and its importance to sell through product
  • Communicate and provide all presentation decks, new product information
  • Work closely with the Products and Inventory Management team to ensure fill rates are optimized for all sales Reps
  • Provide weekly reports to all free for sales and date of last store visited
  • Support KAM for all ad-hoc projects


Here's what you'll need to be successful as our Regional Sales Manager:

  • 5-10 years of sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Proven sales experience in the chain and independent Gas, Convenience, Drug, Grocery and Mass Merchant Store channels
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, managing a sales team, and developing effective sales strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience in training and developing sales staff.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and closing sales deals.
  • Ability to travel as needed and adapt to changing market conditions.
