About the Opportunity

The IM/IT Systems Analyst (SA) / Business Analyst (BA) reports to an IM/IT Manager and will take direction from either the IM/IT Lead or Sr. Analyst. This position is responsible for requirement gathering, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support for primarily clinical information management and technology solutions across NSH, IWK, and its many external clients. The IM/IT SA/BA works collaboratively with key clinical and business stakeholders throughout the province.

The IM/IT SA/BA will adhere to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications aligned with NSH’s and its client’s strategic mission, vision, and goals. Responsibilities include evaluation of requests for change, data retrieval, troubleshooting, assisting with application errors, developing materials, and communicating system changes to end users.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a Health Related discipline. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in application programming, systems analysis, business analysis, or systems support is an asset.
  • Experience and/or training with healthcare information systems and terminology is an asset.
  • Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is an asset.
  • Experience using a healthcare scheduling system is considered an asset.
  • Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management (PMP), and/or organizational change management is an asset.
  • Experience supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and document issues, problems, and implement resolutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience creating summary documentation based on evaluation and analysis is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to document and solve issues.
  • Organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to clearly communicate NSH's vision, mission, and values.

Hours
  • Long-assignment, Full-time Positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately 12 months (assignment length is subject to change)
Compensation and Benefits

$33.14 - $41.42 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
