Reporting directly to the Technology Lead, Product Platforms & IT, you’ll have the opportunity to have an immediate impact on our technology platforms as we continue to expand and accelerate our owned platform sales.

We are seeking a talented and passionate E-commerce Platform Developer to join our growing team. Develop and maintain our Shopify store, including theme customization, app integration, and custom functionality development, while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Manage multiple internal and external remote development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and maintaining high standards of software quality.
Work closely with project owners and cross-functional teams to meticulously gather requirements, define project scopes and design solutions, with a particular emphasis on expanding and refining our eCommerce and product platform capabilities.
Spearhead the end-to-end development of responsive, high-performance web applications, from solution design to implementation.
Take a hands-on approach in coding, championing the development of clean, efficient, and future-proof code across the full technology stack, while reducing technical debt.
Enforce best-in-class coding practices, Git version control, conduct thorough code reviews, and integrate continuous learning and improvement strategies within the team to maintain code repositories and code hygiene.
Direct and execute Agile development sprints, delivering on project milestones within designated timeframes.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within existing systems, proactively optimizing performance and enhancing user experiences.
Act as a technical conduit between stakeholders and internal and external developer teams, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex technical concepts.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of proven expertise in Shopify, its platform, extensions, and tools with a portfolio of e-commerce solution development.
Proficiency in web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
Experience building and customizing Shopify themes.
Mastery of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD methodologies.
Solid experience with Agile development processes and meticulous sprint planning.
Established leadership qualities with a history of successful project management with remote teams and external vendors.

Proficiency in front-end technologies HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and Web Components, and understanding of data-binding in web development.
Agile methodology certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile Coach).
Acumen in UI/UX design principles and related software (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).

Additional Assets:
Proficiency in frontend frameworks React, Angular, Vue.js.
Experience with other e-commerce platforms and marketplaces, including Amazon Seller Central.
Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools.
Previous leadership or mentorship experience within a software development team.
