In-Service Stress Engineer

Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking an In-Service Stress Engineer for their Montreal, QC location.

In this role, you will:

Support stress in-service repair activities.
Perform various stress analyses on repairs, including static strength, fatigue/durability, damage tolerance, and Finite Element Model (FEM) on multi-platform aircraft programs
Prepare stress reports, static strength, as well as damage tolerance analysis for compliance purposes.
Conduct stress calculations to assess design solutions and repair trade studies.
Review repair engineering drawings and actively participate in the development of in-service solutions.
Provide clear visibility to management of the status and/or emerging issues related to supported repair activities.

As our ideal candidate, you:

Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering.
Have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
Possess experience in Aircraft Structural Substantiation analysis, including Static, Fatigue/Durability, and an excellent knowledge and experience of structural Damage Tolerance Analysis.
Have experience using Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, CATIA V5.
Have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Are confident, knowledgeable, and energetic, with excellent communication and listening skills, able to work in a team environment.
Demonstrate initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and good engineering judgment.
