The Company

PSI Engineering manufactures and integrates automated pack and sortation systems for high volume warehouse and distribution centers who serve the business to consumer (B2C) market, drastically improving throughput and accuracy while reducing labor costs. The Applications Engineer is a key member of the sales team, responsible for assisting with developing proposals and supporting the Director of Client Solutions and Sales Account Managers. Key directives include maintaining and servicing specific customer accounts and responding to requests for quotations in a timely and efficient manner, while delivering the PSI Vision and the PSI Entrepreneurial Culture.

Duties And Responsibilities:
  1. Create general layout drawings for tote, carton and pallet conveyor layouts using AutoCAD and/or Solid works for the various RFQ's.
  2. Develop animations, and simulations using SolidWorks, FlexSim, etc. software.
  3. Liaise between mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and assembly manufacturing groups for technical assistance in developing concepts, processes and provide assistance in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
  4. Liaise with suppliers to obtain estimates of major material and equipment costs required for the preparation of budgets and proposals.
  5. Participate in the elaboration of the list and schedule of technical deliverables for the complete project as well as the corresponding list of interfaces.
