Application Engineer

Provide training and technical support in person or over the phone for customers and their CNC Machines.Pre/post-sales supportComplete estimates, time studies, test cuts and machine demosScope of Responsibilities• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls• Strong with CAM System (Mastercam, Delcam, Edgecam, Powermill etc.), G-Code, and macro and variable-based programming• Strong knowledge of multi axis machines (mills, turning, lathes)• Knowledge of cutting tools• Ability to calculate customers CNC Machines for optimal speeds• Design and fabricate fixtures• Facilitate test cuts and quality assurance• Troubleshoot manufacturing/machining processes• Knowledge of part inspection techniques.• Strong communication and problem-solving skills• Effectively communicate with all levels of customers; technical and non-technical.• Able to travel to customer locations in Southwestern Ontario (Mississauga – Waterloo)Education and ExperienceTool and DiemakerLicensed MachinistBachelor’s in mechanical engineering with machining knowledge3-5+ years related experienceExperience in CNC Programming and machine set up
