What you'll be accomplishing:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the head office and joint ventures' fixed assets including:

- Creating and maintaining capital orders in the ERP system

- Ensuring that costs associated with assets are properly captured, classified and depreciated in accordance with company policy and IFRS

- Maintaining accurate records of all fixed assets, acquisitions, disposals, impairments and depreciation, reconciled to the general ledger

- Assisting with the preparation of the annual capital expenditures budget and quarterly forecasts

- Participating in monthly project review meetings

- Developing project performance follow-up tools

- Providing and preparing ad hoc reports and analysis as required

  • Responsible for lease accounting under IFRS 16
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining activity rates
  • Responsible for managing insurance policy renewals in coordination with the Orano Group's insurance department and the accounting of insurance expense
  • Performing other related tasks as required

Ideal qualifications

Qualities and skills we're seeking:

  • Accounting Degree from a recognized institution
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years' relevant experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using SAP an asset
  • Excellent planning and organization skills to coordinate efforts and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills, analytical skills and able to prioritize work effectively
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Cooperative and collaborative, able to work as part of a team
  • Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality
