Key Responsibilities Deliver solid music programming based on the target audience for each brand Program the musical content for Bell Media Radio stations Create and manage data in the MusicMaster and Wide Orbit systems when adding new releases Create and update playlists and digital stations on iHeart Radio Stay on top of new music releases and trends according to radio formats Suggest concepts for special programming Actively participate in listening committees Frequently listen to stations across the province Conduct weekly follow-ups on francophone, Canadian, and emerging artist percentages Perform ‘reconciliation’ of the musical segments of the stations Calculate station percentages daily and make the appropriate adjustments as needed to stay on target Play a leadership role with hosts to ensure these percentages are understood and respected Generate weekly reports to review the achieved percentages Participate in updating MusicMaster ‘clocks’ for our network stations Program new parameters and updates in the MusicMaster software, both for musical elements and for on-air ‘command’ elements (Wide Orbit) Critical Qualifications College or university education in a relevant field Excellent knowledge of music (current music and past hits) Knowledge of MusicMaster programming software Good knowledge of radio formats Sociable and a good team player Passionate, curious, and committed Ability to learn quickly Public relations skills (interpersonal skills) Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Wide Orbit software Knowledge of english required: In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada Creativity Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
