Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Hydro Vac Operations Director. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of our daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellence in service delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence in the hydro vac industry.
Responsibilities:- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize hydro vac operations, including fleet management, resource allocation, and service expansion.
- Operational Oversight: Direct and supervise all aspects of daily hydro vac operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and equipment maintenance, to ensure efficient and safe execution of projects.
- Safety and Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance in all operations. Implement and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and compliance procedures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe work environment.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of hydro vac operators, technicians, and support staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery, addressing client concerns or issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion.
- Financial Management: Manage budgetary planning, cost control, and financial performance of hydro vac operations. Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and ensure profitability while maintaining service quality.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate the quality of hydro vac services. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in hydro vac operations. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovation to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Scheduling or Dispatch experience 2+ years
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydro vac operations or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of hydro vac equipment, processes, and industry regulations.
- Proven track record of leadership, team management, and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
