Your impact and responsibilities

As our Assembly Team Lead, you will report to our Production Manager in Waterloo. You will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our assembly process.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Production Work: Participate in production activities as needed to support the team and ensure smooth operations.
  2. Part Purchasing: Assist with the procurement of parts and materials needed for production, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  3. ERP Updates: Regularly update ERP systems to reflect current inventory, production schedules, and supplier information.
  4. Supplier Follow-Up: Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues related to orders.
  5. Safety Training: Train shop workers on safety procedures and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  6. Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and efficient workflow.
  8. Engineering Drawings: Read and interpret engineering drawings with proven experience.
  9. Electrical Schematics: Understand and work with electrical schematic drawings.

Supporting other administrative tasks as required and directed by company senior leaders.

It's an advantage if you have:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in production, procurement, or a related field.
  3. Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  4. Technical Skills: Ability to use regular power tools and understand their applications in production.
  5. Bi-lingual (English/French) is an asset.
