Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.9 million people in 20 diverse communities. Our team is looking for compassionate part-time (0.2 FTE) palliative care physicians to provide clinical service along with our multidisciplinary team located in Abbotsford, B.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside other palliative care physicians to provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in our Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) and Holmberg House.
Throughout the Fraser Health Authority, we provide integrated, regional, comprehensive palliative care services in various settings including 30 PCCU beds, consult services in 12 acute care sites, and support to 126 hospice beds. Additionally, we provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia is required.
- Certification from either the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Preference will be provided to individuals who have completed additional training in Palliative Medicine.
- One-year enhanced skills residency and acquired the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- Two-year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.
Remuneration: by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health

- May be eligible for up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement.
