BC Cancer is one of the world's renowned cancer organizations. The Abbotsford Centre offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative care and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling.
We are looking for a medical oncologist or hematologist with expertise in treating lymphoma and myeloma. The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence, to participate in clinical, research, administrative and educational activities.
You have obtained or are working towards Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology or Hematology with an interest/expertise in lymphoma/myeloma. You must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.
Successful candidates will have:
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
- Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
