We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant/Analyst (title dependent on experience) to join our finance team at Harvard Media. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to advance their career in accounting and finance within a vibrant and exciting industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the monthly closing process.
  • Compile and enter monthly journal entries.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Assist with cash management and payments.
  • Review monthly general ledger and budget variance.
  • Assist with contract review and tracking.
  • Monitor credit card usage.
  • Assist with daily deposit and credit card processing troubleshooting.
  • Conduct monthly tariff reporting.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and remittances to regulatory parties.
  • Support the year-end audit, CCD reporting, and CRTC filings.
  • Aid in capital asset management, including asset registries.
  • Assist with accounting system conversion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Adaptable with the ability to learn new concepts and apply them.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A focus on professional development

Essential Requirements:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma with a major in accounting.
  • CPA designation / enrollment in CPA courses is an asset
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Business Central and Excel
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
