Be part of our talented and growing team We are currently looking for a Specialist, Credit Risk to join our team, reporting to the Sr Manager, Credit Risk Management.

As a Specialist, Credit Risk you will support and contribute to the credit strategy development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring for Fairstone Bank's indirect and credit card lending portfolios. This role works collaboratively with internal and external teams to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Credit Risk Management functions and play a key role in the development and implementation of risk strategies in support of the overall risk appetite framework.
  • Contribute to risk strategy design including documentation, implementation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Liaise and communicate with key bank departments such as Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance during project activities.
  • Produce key reporting in a timely manner. Create new reporting for additional business areas.
  • Investigate and propose new solutions and strategies to improve portfolio performance.
  • Other risk analytics duties as assigned.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Professional with 2 to 3 years of Credit Risk experience or experience within the financial services industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science is an asset.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles and the factors that contribute to risk, with the ability to assess, measure, and monitor risk.
  • Intermediate skills using SAS or SQL to mine, transform, and analyze large amounts of data are required.
  • Knowledge of Triad, TSYS, TSYS Ace systems is a strong asset.
