Senior Superintendent – $300 Million Industrial Commercial Building Project

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Superintendent to lead the construction of a high-value $300 multi-year million industrial commercial building project in the GTA. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a cutting-edge development with a focus on quality, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring completion within budget, on schedule, and to the highest standards.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to maintain seamless workflow.
  • Develop, update, and enforce project schedules while proactively resolving potential delays or issues.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, fostering a culture of workplace safety.
  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to guide project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure smooth project progression and alignment with objectives.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, for optimal efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures, maintaining excellence in workmanship.
  • Work with design teams to adapt evolving plans, incorporating innovative and sustainable technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8–10 years in commercial and industrial construction, including leading projects valued at $75 million or more.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and equipment for large-scale industrial projects.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management and scheduling software.
  • Certifications: Health and Safety certifications, such as Working at Heights, First-Aid, and Basics of Supervision.
  • Education: A construction-related degree or diploma is an asset.
  • Preferred Experience: Background in transit facility construction or sustainable building practices.
