Civil/Structural Utility Vault Engineer

Day-to-Day:Develop new designs by applying knowledge of electric utility systems and their operationApply engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop complete and competent designsCompilation of design packages for constructionPerform quality reviews of project deliverablesAuthenticate finished designs and deliverables for client constructionNetwork with clients and maintain client relationshipsSome travel will be requiredMust Haves:A Bachelor’s degree or a Technology diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, additional engineering backgrounds will be consideredFive (5) + years of experience in the design and operation of reinforced cast in place underground utility vaultsExperience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of reinforced cast in place underground utility vaultsExposure to utility standards, CSA, and an understanding of powerline construction techniquesAbility to work in design teams and is self-motivated to perform assigned tasks, and take the initiative to learn the positionThe ability to lead and direct a team of engineers, designers, and draftersExperience using the Microsoft Office software suite
