About
Reporting directly to the Vice-President, Portfolio Management & Taxes, the Financial Analyst, Capital Markets will play a critical role in supporting the finance team by:
Responsibilities:
Portfolio acquisition:
- Ensure monthly audit on ongoing portfolios, those serviced by operating partners for invoicing and collection.
- Participate in our partners' operational audit to ensure our standards, compliance and risks.
- Reconcile differences from auditing, including internal and external data.
- Ensure support to correct any error.
- Create audit reports and communicate the results to management.
- Communicate irregularities to the panel of participants to evaluate the financial impacts.
- Perform monetary reserve tracking and determine appropriate reserve release based on portfolio performance.
- Coordinate internal and external partnerships with full transaction cycle (Sales – Pricing – Credit – Documentation – Accounting – Customer service – Collection).
Portfolio sales:
- Provide support to the reconciliation team to ensure complete reports for outside investors.
- Conceive and communicate monthly reports to our partners.
- Collaborate with capital markets’ managers for invoicing and trading.
- Prepare according to schedule all sales documentation (credit files, contracts, analysis, etc.).
- Execute any other related tasks.
The profile we are looking for:
- Bilingual French/English (written and spoken).
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, experience in Capital Markets accounting (an asset).
- Studies in Business administration, Finance or related, MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA designations (an asset).
- Advanced technical and computer competencies, especially Excel.
- Strong knowledge of the finance environment and analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to function autonomously and proactively with minimal direct supervision.
