At Valmet, you will be part of our Engineering Services team and apply your skills and experiences to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers' facilities across North America.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Developing electrical and fluid schematics.
  2. Creating machine control and human machine interface software for Valmet equipment.
  3. Testing software modifications and participating in start-ups and service calls.
  4. Directing and being responsible for project engineering work at customer sites.
  5. Developing machine code in PLC or DNA system as well as Human Machine Interface (HMI) software.
  6. Providing technical support for project meetings with customers.
  7. Delivering technical training to customers' operators and maintenance personnel.
  8. Making return trips to the site to eliminate warranty issues or address customer needs.
Requirements:

A two or four-year degree in Engineering, Papermaking Technology, programming, or a related field; three to five years’ experience in a technical role within the papermaking industry or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of PLC programming and papermaking machinery and hydraulic systems a plus, but not required.
