Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board through the President, the Executive Officer will ensure the efficient and effective management of the operations of the Board, while ensuring the adherence to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) Rules and Regulations Core Board Standards. Duties will also include overseeing and implementing the policies and directives of the Board of Directors and ensuring that the Board has a sound governance structure with up-to-date policies and procedures in order to implement Board directives. The Executive Officer will represent the Board as directed by the Board, serve as a liaison between the Board (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Committee Chairs) and the office staff, while managing the affairs of the Board including the day-to-day operations and the direction and activities of its staff. The Executive Officer is accountable for the financial affairs of the Board including managing the budget.

Qualifications
This challenging position demands strong project management, computer skills and excellent communication, administrative and public relations skills.
Graduation from a recognized college, university or three years of equivalent professional experience is required. The individual will be required to obtain the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) AEN designation and complete CREA Leadership Courses. Knowledge of not-for-profit associations and real estate business practices would be an asset.
