In this role, you’ll develop step‑by‑step guides, FAQs, UI copy, video tutorials, and system‑generated communications. You’ll work closely with clients, developers, and designers to ensure all content aligns with user needs and product goals. If you have a keen eye for detail, exceptional writing skills, and a passion for simplifying the complex, you’ll thrive at BIS Safety Software.This is an in‑person role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office.In this role, you will be expected to:Develop step‑by‑step user guides, FAQs, and instructional documents to help users effectively utilize our softwareWrite and edit copy for user interfaces (UI) to ensure clarity, consistency, and user‑friendlinessCreate and update software system‑generated email notifications to ensure clarity and consistency with our brand voiceProduce tutorial videos and visual guides that simplify complex concepts for usersCollaborate directly with clients and end users to gather feedback and translate their needs into clear, intuitive product design and documentationGenerate and deliver in‑person or online presentations or webinars on software modules and features to clients, users, and team membersCollaborate with graphic designers, software developers, and other team members to ensure documentation aligns with product goals and user needsMaintain and update a knowledge base of documentation and FAQs as our software evolvesApply UX writing principles to create user‑centered, easy‑to‑understand contentFollow and contribute to our software style guideYou might be the right fit if you:Have a strong ability to quickly learn complex software systemsPay meticulous attention to detailPossess exceptional writing and editing skillsCan break down complex concepts into clear and concise explanationsInspire trust through openness, honesty, and transparency in communicationsWork well both independently and as part of a teamQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in English or Communication Studies (with a major in Professional Communications)Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe productsExperience with AI tools and technologies, or a strong passion for learning and working with AIBonus points if you have:UI/UX design experience is a strong asset$60,000 - $65,000 a yearWhy join usAt BIS, we pride ourselves in being very entrepreneurial in nature.
