We are seeking a HR Business Partner (HRBP) with a broad Human Resources and Industrial Relations background with a demonstrated track record of success in a manufacturing environment.This position is located in Montreal, Quebec supporting four Montreal-area plants of which three are unionized.The HR business partner (HRBP) will provide support to management and employees within assigned client groups, ensuring seamless HR service delivery and fostering positive employee engagement. In a HRBP capacity, you will support and manage programs and strategic initiatives related to a wide variety of areas as well as manage the labour relations.ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with management at the plants to provide strategic direction on HR initiatives including staffing, retention, compensation, talent management, coaching, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, training and, employee engagement.Understands the dynamics of the business and functions; driving best-in-class human resources practices and processes that will create an effective organization. Coaches key business leaders on leading and managing their organizations effectively. Diagnoses organizational effectiveness issues and implements solutions.Leads recruitment for temporary and permanent hires at all sites and develops contract terms for all new hires.Leads change management by working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
