Senior Manager, Small Business Virtual Advice Team
Location: Please note this position is located in Halifax Nova Scotia, 5251 Duke Street, Duke Towers. It is an in office position. Shifts: 10am-6pm.
About The Role...
Leads and oversees the Small Business Virtual Advice Team ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Provide leadership oversight and coaching to the Managers, Virtual Advice, ensuring that they develop a team of high-performing subject matter experts that focus on advice-based client centric conversations
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of strategies that align with the goals and objectives of Small Business Distribution and the regions supported by the Small Business Virtual Advice Team. They would also be responsible to develop and execute internal strategies that drive efficiency and accountability
- Create awareness of the virtual channel by working in close collaboration with key partners (i.e. Branch, Small Business Development Managers, Wealth Management, Commercial, CMCC). Assisting partners in the identification of opportunities by designing and delivering tailored solutions that clearly state the benefits to the customer and the Bank of Nova Scotia
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
- Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vision/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team
- University degree in business, finance or economics, or equivalent work experience. The incumbent must possess strong interpersonal skills, communications, judgement, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills
- Demonstrate change leadership, cross cultural leadership and a strong focus on the customer and results
- Must clearly demonstrate both creative and strategic thinking by continuously and independently identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve environment
- Effective sales management skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and motivate others
- Other training requirements reasonably required by the Bank from time to time
