Job Description We are seeking a self-motivated Commercial Real Estate Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. Peakhill Capital is a commercial real estate capital provider with mortgage investments across all real estate asset classes in Canada. Our equity platform (Peakhill Equity Partners) is an opportunistic equity platform focused on investments in ground up and value-add projects in Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities
Assisting and supporting various personnel by completing initial funding file set up, instructing external consultants, and processing loan advances.
Collect, review, and verify loan documentation and funding information from various stakeholders and third parties.
Ensure all pre-funding requirement are met in time for the established funding date and all documentation corresponds to the terms of the commitment and in compliance with established regulatory and company guidelines and policies.
Deliver services as contracted and protect confidentiality of loan information.
Coordinate with accounting department for the release of mortgage funds on a timely basis.
Ensure loan are set up accurately onto mortgage system, review all advances balance and the reconcile any discrepancies.
Coordinate closely with the origination and underwriting department.

Experience
A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ work experience in funding role in Commercial Real Estate.
Working knowledge of conventional, commercial and CMHC loans for retail, industrial and multi-family real estate and other forms of commercial real estate.
Previous legal background is considered an asset.

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge
Undergraduate degree, preferably with a focus in a related field.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Working knowledge of commercial mortgage documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and requires attention to detail.
Familiarity with AML and Compliance practice.
Self-driven, motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Team player with the ability to perform extra duties as assigned.
Business mindset and experience in a professional office environment.
Fluent in French
