We are looking for a Senior OCM Specialist for  a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Description
Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Organizational Change Management (OCM) and Communications Specialist. In this pivotal role, you will drive the successful implementation of assigned programs and projects by defining and executing robust change management and communications strategies. Your efforts will contribute to sustainable change and positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Design: Develop and execute comprehensive change management and communications strategies, focusing on the people readiness aspect of program/project delivery. Consider critical change levers such as sponsorship, leader alignment, engagement, communications, learning and development, change networks, culture, and sustainment.
  • Stakeholder Insights: Conduct stakeholder analysis, assess change readiness, and evaluate organizational impact. Identify change implications across a broad audience.
  • Facilitate Understanding: Engage in discussions to gather insights and comprehend stakeholder perspectives. Understand the impact of change at various organizational levels and across business domains.
  • Culture Alignment: Recognize the influence of organizational culture on change initiatives. Design interventions to foster desired behaviors and effective ways of working.
  • Skills and Competencies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including P&PI, WRE leadership, project teams, organization design, organization effectiveness, learning, and communications. Recommend creative options for optimal results.
  • Championing Change: Advise and support sponsors and leaders as change champions within a leader-led change model.
  • Measuring Progress: Develop a robust measurement approach to track organizational progress through change and achieve desired benefits.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 4+ years change management and communications experience in a large corporate environment.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications or related field.
  • Experience within the oil and gas industry would be considered an asset.
  • Accreditation/Certification in industry-recognized change methodology (i.e. Prosci, CCMP) or equivalent training and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface and facilitate effectively with a diverse group of executives, leaders, subject matter experts and end-users.
