About the Company Our client is a well-established construction management and general contracting firm. The Proposal Writer will manage the full life cycle of proposal and tender submissions, including reviewing bid documents, gathering information, writing, compiling, and submitting complete and compliant proposals. This role requires strong technical knowledge of construction processes, excellent writing skills, and experience with electronic procurement platforms. The ideal candidate has a background in general contracting, providing a solid understanding of project scopes, costing, and client requirements. Gather and coordinate technical and project-specific content from internal teams (Project Managers, Estimators, Executives). Draft and edit proposal sections such as executive summaries, methodologies, company profiles, safety and quality statements, and relevant project experience. Maintain and update a centralized proposal library, including corporate documents, resumes, project sheets, and reference materials. Office-based role at the head office, commutable from Toronto, Mississauga, and surrounding areas. Occasional visits to project sites or client meetings as required. Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, Marketing, or Communications. Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal writing, bid coordination, or project management within a general contracting environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Experience using Canva or InDesign for professional formatting and layout is an asset. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
