Job Description

Requirements
  1. 5+ years of relevant electrical experience in an electrical contracting setting
  2. 5+ years of experience with job quotes, electrical coordination OR field-based project lead (Foreman, superintendent etc.)
  3. 3+ years estimating retrofit construction and service
  4. Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code
  5. A valid "G" class driver’s license
The Opportunity

You will be responsible for scheduling resources, assisting in managing electrical projects, and ensuring that the projects fall within budget, required timelines and meet the team’s requirements for quality. You may also be accountable for project invoices and act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries while maintaining an elevated level of customer service.

Typical decision-making required for this position includes:

  • Resource management decisions (strategic scheduling)
  • Ensuring all work is conducted safely
  • Handling changes in billing due to changes in project scope
  • Utilizing best practices to increase work quality
  • Using systematic approaches to troubleshooting and repair
Role:
  • Scheduling and deployment of manpower and resources for multiple projects, service calls, and scheduled maintenance based on the need for action, work objectives, project schedule, future needs, etc.
  • Allocate time and materials to work orders; issue purchase orders as required
  • Complete RFPs, and prepare quotations for small jobs and service calls in collaboration with the Estimating Department
  • Follow up and report on open quotes and work orders
  • Answer customer inquiries and expedite the resolution of customer problems and/or complaints
  • Verify all work orders for accuracy and proper completion
  • Review and validate Service Technicians' hours for payroll
Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace
  2. Accurately estimating time and materials required for jobs and providing timely quotes to customers
  3. Manage work orders and approve invoices
  4. Oversee and/or perform various electrical field work, installations, and troubleshooting
  5. Review project budgets and timelines to ensure compliance with project plans
  6. Supervise multiple technicians
  7. Manage any project conflicts
