Job Brief:

The Shop Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance shop, in cooperation with E&I Operations in Grande Prairie.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute repairs to equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Identify the required repair parts, material, labor, tooling, equipment, and repair procedures.
  • Identify gaps in processing and handling of repairs to assist field technicians in completing jobs in a timely manner.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, direction, supervision, and guidance to direct reports, including apprentices.
  • Ensure performance management, including the need for discipline, if necessary, is maintained on a regular basis.
  • Ensure the required materials for current and future projects are maintained in inventory or ordered and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the training and development of employees.
  • Workorder and inventory management.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proactive and self-motivated approach to working.
  • Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation preferred.
  • Familiar with meter runs, chemical pumps, turbines, bench proving, valves, actuators, etc.
  • Oil and gas experience preferred.
  • Leads by example.
  • Works well with all levels of employees and management, internally and externally.
  • Capable of working alone and in isolation or in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IFS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MWO).
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Safety Tickets.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
